The brief

Zakon Lviv (Закон Львів) is a legal services brand of Innova Consulting Group, the business group Marketing MIX belongs to, so this case describes work inside our own group. The site's structured data names Innova Consulting Group as its parent organisation.

The firm serves individuals, companies and sole proprietors, as one-off work or on a subscription basis, from an office on Tershakivtsiv Street in Lviv. Its clients come from Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and other cities of western Ukraine. The practice covers company registration, reorganisation and liquidation, licences and permits, certificates, emigration of Ukrainians and legalisation of foreigners, civil and commercial disputes, tax registrations, ready-made companies, registration of non-profits such as condominium associations, charities and religious communities, and customs brokerage. Work runs under contract, with payment in cash at the office or by bank transfer.

A person looking for a lawyer in a regional city usually has one pressing question and compares a few firms quickly. The brief was a simple, accessible website that would still be functional and pleasant for the firm's audience in the region, followed by promotion in search.

What we did

Website design and build

The mockups show a Ukrainian-language site with red and black embroidery ornament along the top and bottom, a «Юрист Львів» (Lawyer Lviv) wordmark over zakon.lviv.ua, and a photo slider of Lviv. The home page opened with four questions for visitors (a professional consultation, starting a business, protecting their rights, getting rid of an unwanted business) next to a "Contact us now" box with phone numbers and buttons to order a consultation or a service. A map of Ukraine highlighted the western regions and listed the cities served: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and Rivne. Six advantages followed. The design also covered service pages with a price badge and document tables, a price list, a pop-up order form and a contacts page with a map. The team included a front-end developer, a designer, two SEO specialists and a junior PHP programmer.

SEO promotion

Once the site was ready, SEO promotion began. We collected low-, mid- and high-frequency search queries, split them across pages and optimised the content for them, wrote a unique snippet for each service, shifted link weight to the home page, and used external content marketing and links on quality thematic resources.

Search and AI-visibility rework, August 2026

Between 8 and 10 August 2026 the site went through an SEO, GEO and usability rework:

  • Google Analytics 4 had recorded no data since August 2024 because of a consent default; fixing that default restored data collection.
  • Emoji spam came out of page descriptions, invented article dates were removed, and the old «Юрист Львів» name gave way to Zakon Lviv on 39 pages.
  • Outdated legal references were corrected, among them a reference to the bankruptcy code.
  • The site received LegalService, Service and FAQPage structured data, an llms.txt file for AI assistants and IndexNow submissions.
  • FAQ blocks with FAQPage markup went onto 102 Ukrainian, 102 Russian and 55 English service pages.
  • Sixteen articles, eight in Ukrainian and eight in Russian, were published and linked to the related service pages.
  • A floating request button and Telegram, Viber and WhatsApp contacts were added.

Where it stands today

The Wayback Machine holds yearly captures of zakon.lviv.ua from 2016 to 2026. The earliest, from 18 August 2016, already shows the Zakon Lviv name in the title, the mockup's navigation (Home, Services, Price list, Contacts) and the same four questions, without our credit. By January 2019 a News section had joined the navigation and the Marketing MIX credit sat in the footer. In January 2021 the site offered English, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian. The 2022 and 2023 captures are redirects, consistent with a move to HTTPS. The April 2024 and February 2026 captures show English, Russian and Ukrainian versions with hreflang tags and no structured data.

We checked the live site on 14 September 2026. It runs on MODX Revolution behind Cloudflare with HSTS, under the title "Юридичні послуги у Львові | Закон Львів". Ukrainian sits at the root, Russian and English versions are linked through hreflang, and canonical tags are set. The home page carries LegalService and Organization data with the Lviv address, the area served, the three languages and the parent organisation, plus FAQPage markup. A 10 KB llms.txt is published, the Telegram, Viber and WhatsApp links and the floating request button are live, and the forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.

The original design structure is still in use: the four questions, the city list and the six advantages (modern approach, professionalism, confidentiality, affordable prices, speed, guaranteed result). The footer carries "Development and support" with the Marketing MIX logo linking to mmix.ua.

Our own audit on 8 August 2026 found no Google Business Profile for the firm and no listings on the Ukrainian directories top20.ua and 032.ua.

What we would add now

A place on the map

For a law firm in a city, the map results and their reviews are where many local searches end, and AI assistants draw on the same listings. A Google Business Profile for the Lviv office and entries in local directories come first. See SEO services in Ottawa: technical and local SEO.

Named lawyers

Legal content belongs to what Google calls "Your Money or Your Life" topics, where signals of expertise carry extra weight. The site names no lawyers today. Profiles with credentials and practice areas, and author bylines on articles, give search engines and AI answers a person to trust. See AI SEO & GEO agency: ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews.

One analytics loader

Every page loads Google Analytics 4 directly and again through Google Tag Manager, which risks double-counted page views. A single loader keeps the numbers clean.

English for foreign clients

The firm handles legalisation of foreigners, yet English covers 55 of the 102 service pages and none of the 16 articles. Completing the English version serves the clients who cannot read the Ukrainian pages.

A lighter front end

The templates still load jQuery 1.11.3 and serve no WebP images, and the first byte arrives after about 0.6 seconds. A modernised front end would make the first visit faster, especially on mobile. See Law firm website development for Canadian firms.
