What a landing page actually is
A landing page is a single-purpose web page built around one offer, one audience, and one conversion action. It is not a homepage in disguise. It is not a brochure. It is not a Squarespace template with stock photos. Marketing MIX, an international marketing studio with Ukrainian roots, headquartered in Ottawa and working across Canada, Ukraine, Germany, and France, has been building conversion-first landing pages since 2014 for clients across SaaS, professional services, e-commerce, and education.
The job of a landing page is to take a person who clicked a paid ad or an organic search result and turn enough of them into qualified leads that the campaign earns its money back. Everything else — visual polish, animations, brand "vibe" — is in service of that job or against it.
Three landing-page shapes we build
Different goals need different page geometries. We don't apply the same template to every brief.
| Shape | Best for | Typical conversion goal | Length | |---|---|---|---| | Click-through | Pre-warming for a marketplace listing, app store page, or external checkout | 30–50% of visitors click the primary CTA | 800–1,500 words | | Lead-capture | B2B services, consultancies, demo requests, gated content | 3–8% submit a multi-field form | 1,500–3,000 words | | Long-form sales | High-ticket courses, coaching, enterprise software | 0.8–2.5% commit to a paid action | 3,000–6,000 words |
We'll recommend the shape in the kickoff call based on your offer, ticket size, and traffic temperature.
What every landing page we ship includes
- Server-rendered HTML — sub-second largest contentful paint on 4G, even with hero video.
- One H1, one primary CTA, one audience. Multiple offers belong on different pages.
- Above-fold value proposition — clarity over cleverness. If a stranger can't tell what you do in five seconds, the page fails.
- Social proof — real logos, real quotes with role and company, real outcome numbers. No stock-photo "happy customer."
- Risk reversal — guarantee, free trial, money-back, or transparent pricing — whichever your offer can support.
- A second CTA further down — for visitors who needed the full pitch before deciding.
- Schema markup — Organization, FAQPage, Offer, AggregateRating where applicable.
- Conversion tracking — GA4 events plus a server-side conversion API call (Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, LinkedIn Insight Tag) so iOS-17 doesn't blind your reporting.
- Form anti-abuse — Cloudflare Turnstile or hCaptcha by default, not Google reCAPTCHA (which kills mobile conversion).
- Heatmap and session recording — PostHog or Microsoft Clarity, anonymized, GDPR-compliant.
How we build them
- Conversion-copy interview. 60–90 minutes with your founder, head of sales, or product manager. We dig for the actual reasons customers say yes — and the actual reasons they say no.
- Offer audit. We look at your competitors' landing pages, your existing analytics, and any prior tests. We name the angle the page will lead with.
- Wireframe + copy. Section-by-section copy in a shared doc before any pixel of design is drawn. You sign off on copy first.
- Design. Mobile-first, in your design system if you have one, in a fresh one if you don't.
- Build. Next.js 16, Tailwind, deployed to Cloudflare Workers or Vercel. Lighthouse green across the board.
- Tracking + QA. GA4, conversion APIs, form validation, accessibility check (WCAG 2.2 AA), cross-browser smoke test.
- Launch. DNS, redirects from the old page if applicable, IndexNow ping to Bing and Yandex.
- First A/B test live by week 4. Hypothesis, variant, sample-size math, kill criterion. We don't run tests we can't power-calculate.
When a landing page is the wrong tool
We'll tell you. A few cases where we recommend something else first:
- You don't have paid traffic. A great landing page with no traffic source converts at 100% of zero. Build the traffic first.
- Your offer needs a sales conversation. Six-figure enterprise deals don't close from a form. A landing page for "book a call" is fine; one for "buy now" is not.
- Your product isn't ready. A landing page that misrepresents what ships is the most expensive marketing artifact you can build.
Pricing
A clearly scoped audit starts at €1,800. Ongoing retainers start at €2,400 per month. Larger projects are quoted after scope is agreed.
