The brief
Fast Coffee is a self-service coffee shop concept — automated kiosks in office buildings, gyms, transit hubs, and high-foot-traffic retail. The brand needed a digital identity that worked as the customer-facing front of a 24/7 unstaffed operation: location finder, real-time machine status, loyalty enrollment, mobile ordering, and a tone that felt premium despite the price band.
The challenge: zero staff on-site means the website is also the customer-service surface. Every question a barista would normally answer in person had to be answerable on the phone in a customer's hand.
What we did
Location discovery and real-time status
Map-based location finder with hours, distance, and a live status indicator pulled from the machines' telemetry. If a machine is down for maintenance, that location is greyed out — a problem the brand had been losing customers to before the site launched.
Mobile-first ordering and loyalty
Order-ahead with payment via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and saved cards. Loyalty program built on the booking system's API — earn-and-redeem in a single mobile flow, no separate app required.
Local SEO for every location
LocalBusiness schema per location, separate Google Business Profile per kiosk, structured-data hours that match the actual machine availability. Locations registered in Apple Maps, Bing Places, and Yandex Maps where the markets warranted.
Content for AI discovery
"Coffee near me" and "self-service coffee [neighbourhood]" queries treated as primary intent. Pages structured for LLM citation — clear definition of the format (because "self-service coffee" still needs definition in many markets), specific price information, opening hours including overnight, machine maintenance schedules.
Social-led brand building
Instagram-first content strategy. We coordinated photography for the first 12 locations and ran a content calendar with the brand's in-house team. The goal was discovery, not sales — customers who came in through Instagram still converted through the website's order-ahead.
What we learned
For unattended retail, the website is the staff. Every question that would otherwise hit a phone line or a support email needs to be answerable in three taps. The single biggest reduction in support tickets came from a single page: "what to do if the machine doesn't dispense your drink" — written in plain language, with photos, with the refund button right there.
