The brief

The International School-Studio of Nail Aesthetics and Podology of Victoria Starovoitova trains nail technicians and offers manicure, pedicure and podology services. In its own words, the team has worked in the nail industry since 2008, in Ukraine and abroad, and its motto is "do everything with love". The course pages in the 2019 mockups list teachers based in Kyiv and in Israel.

The site had to bring three things together: course sign-ups, services with prices, and a catalogue of tools and professional cosmetics.

Nail schools sell to working technicians. Before paying, technicians compare the programme, practice hours, group size, certificate, the trainer's credentials and before-and-after results. Many book through messengers and decide on reviews and video.

What we did

Research, prototypes and design

Market analysis, then prototypes and a visual design for the site. The top menu in the mockups reads Home, Courses, Services, Product catalogue and Contacts, next to a callback button.

Courses

Course pages with dated sessions, duration, teacher, price and a sign-up button, followed by a day-by-day programme of theory and practice. The mockup of the three-day intensive manicure course, for example, lists sessions starting on 28 January, 25 February and 25 March 2019, with the price given on request.

Services

We designed the Services section. Each service page shows a price and a buy button, with sections for manicure, nail modelling, hardware pedicure, podology and cosmetology. The screenshot of the combined manicure page also shows a help request form.

Product catalogue

We designed the Product Catalogue section and the product card, with product groups for manicure, pedicure, tools and professional cosmetics.

Build and testing

Front-end build with animated elements and pop-up forms, including callback and help request forms, programming, adaptation for different devices, and functional and usability testing. The footer of the finished pages carried the Marketing MIX mark.

Where it stands today

We checked the school's current website, vikastar.com, on 14 September 2026.

  • The site we built in 2019 is offline. The domain vikastar.com now hosts a later rebuild on Tilda, with a footer that names the school and reads "© 2020", and it carries no Marketing MIX credit. Its WhatsApp contact uses the same phone number as our 2019 mockups, which ties it to the same school. The Web Archive first captured vikastar.com on 14 March 2023, so whether the 2019 site lived on this domain remains unconfirmed.
  • The school sells online, recorded and offline courses and personal consultations. The home page features a course in aesthetic hardware pedicure (five days offline plus video lessons open for three months), a mini-course on mixed nail prosthetics with titanium thread and a video lesson on onycholysis. Students have a members' login area.
  • The services page offers manicure with gel polish, pedicure, nail prosthetics, correction of deformed nails and help with ingrown nails, booked online or by phone.
  • The header carries the line "International online project Star-nails". Contacts are given for Israel and Ukraine, along with Telegram, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
  • According to the offline courses page, training runs one-to-one or in groups of up to eight. The page presents the founder as an international expert in hardware manicure, pedicure and podology with more than 20 years in the profession, ten of them teaching, and names the school's own cosmetics brand, VScosmetics. It says courses have been held in Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Greece, the UK, Belgium and Israel, for more than 1,000 students. These are the school's own figures.
  • An event page sold places at "Beauty & Energy", a women's evening in Israel on 15 January 2026, with a ₪100 deposit. Another page invites students to review a marathon course for a chance to win an online lesson.
  • The sitemap lists 29 pages, including course sign-up pages, a marathon, a webinar, a questionnaire and an offer agreement.

What we would add now

Pages that search engines and AI assistants can read

The pages declare no language and carry no hreflang tags or structured data. The home page title, "Школа – студия" ("School-studio"), names neither the brand nor a course. Course, Event and Organization markup and descriptive page titles would help search engines and AI assistants match the school to searches for a specific course. See AI SEO & GEO agency: ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews and SEO services in Ottawa: technical and local SEO.

A schedule with dates and prices

The home page shows no course schedule with dates and prices, and consultations are routed to messengers. A visible schedule and a booking calendar would let technicians sign up without waiting for a reply. See Educational website development for schools.

Languages that match the audience

The site is in Russian only, while the school lists contacts in Israel and Ukraine. Ukrainian and English versions, and Hebrew pages for events in Israel, would speak to those audiences in their own language.

Reviews where the decision happens

Reviews are currently gathered through a contest. Consented reviews and before-and-after photos on each course page would put that proof next to the sign-up button. See Beauty salon and spa website development.

Current details and crawler access

The footer still said © 2020 while a 2026 event was on sale. Tilda's bot protection returned 403 and 410 errors to a plain crawler on several pages, which may also keep out some AI crawlers, so the settings are worth reviewing. If VScosmetics products are to be sold online, a shop with product cards would build on the catalogue from 2019. See Online store development.

Testimonial

Thank you for understanding exactly what we wanted and for working professionally, on time and quickly. The MMIX team is easy and pleasant to work with.
