Попросили построить mobile web app guide для 2024 edition, на tight timeline.
Что мы сделали
Mobile-first PWA без app store
Progressive Web App доступный по short URL на любом телефоне. Без App Store install — критичное решение для event audience включающего visitors из других стран с carrier-locked phones и limited app-install patience.
Расписание и stage map
Live schedule с festival's internal calendar. Stage map с performance times по stage, performer bios, music samples где licensing разрешает.
Vendor и food map
Geo-located markers для всех vendors и food stations, с menus, ценами, dietary info (вегетарианский, vegan, gluten-free, kosher/halal markers), live "busy now" indicators contributed by volunteers.
Offline-capable
Service worker caching schedule и map — критично потому что cellular coverage на festival grounds нестабильно. Visitors загружавшие guide до входа имели full functionality без сигнала.
Bilingual EN/UK
Proper hreflang, locale-aware контент, language toggle в navigation. Performers names на украинском как canonical form с English transliteration для non-Ukrainian-speaking visitors.
Volunteer support страницы
Dedicated pages для volunteer info, emergency contacts, lost-and-found, и стандартный "где washrooms" контент который драйвил большинство info-booth question volume.
Что научились
PWAs для events outperform native apps почти всегда. Barrier to install native app для one-weekend event слишком высокий — conversion difference между "scan QR, open URL" и "scan QR, App Store, search, install, open" factor of five и больше в нашем measurement. Второй урок: offline capability non-negotiable для outdoor events с unreliable cellular.
